It only remains to be noted that the requirement of the investment and the bond is no longer necessary in view of the decision of SC Gupte J of 17th January 2018 in Foreign Adoption Petition No. 59 of 2017 (Holy Cross Home for Babies, Petitioner vs Ravikiran Abraham Barigala & Anr, Proposed Adopters).

The passport and birth certificate are to be issued expeditiously, if not already done, on production of an authenticated copy of this order.
