This PIL concerns the issue arising out of the necessity of every Indian citizen possessing a card or a document known as "Aadhar".

The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, had an occasion, to deal with a challenge to such a document being mandatorily possessed by the every citizen residing in every part of the country and in its exhaustive judgment, that challenge has been dealt with. The proceedings in that behalf are finally disposed of by the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. M.M.Salgaonkar

In the light of the judgment delivered in the case of Justice K.S.Puttaswamy (Retd) and Anr. Vs.Union of India and Ors.1, this PIL stands disposed of.
