The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Disputes arose between the parties under an Agreement for Restructuring of debts dated 27th February 2014. By an order dated 26th July 2018, an advocate of this Court was appointed as the sole arbitrator. The arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter, and the matter proceeded before him.

The original arbitral mandate was extended for six months by mutual consent. The extended arbitral mandate ended on 30th January 2020. The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of filing evidence.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate from 30th January 2020 until 31st December 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
