This is an Indian Adoption Petition in respect of a female minor, Saanvi Ganesh Anvekar. The adoptive parents, Ganesh Balkrishna Anvekar and Shilpa Ganesh Anvekar filed a Petition No. 79 of 2015 in the City Civil Court at Bombay. Since the time the Petitioners took her in, the minor, born on 11th September 2014, is with them.

Petitioner No. 1 is a self-employed jeweller. His wife, the 2nd Petitioner is a nursing sister at the Goenka & Associates Medical & Research Centre, Goregaon. They have placed an amount of Rs.50,000/- with the Saraswat Co-operative Bank Limited in a fixed deposit in the minor's name.

Paragraph 6 of the Petition says that the minor's birth parents agreed to give her in adoption. On this basis the aforesaid order of guardianship was passed. More than two years have passed since the Guardianship Petition order before the filing of this Adoption Petition.

Having regard to the fact that these are not cases that can be delayed especially for young children, who require proper certification and adoption orders, for schooling, maintenance and other requirements, I am inclined to allow the Petition immediately. 7.

I have also seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare. This report notes that he visited the residence of the adoptive family at Indrayani Co-operative Housing Society, Nagari Niwara Parishad, Goregaon very recently on 7th February 2018. He observes that the adoptive parents are committed parents for Saanvi for two and a half years and that she is well integrated in their family. He also reports that the minor is an intelligent and lively child. She goes to a pre-primary school very close to the residence.

The Petition is made absolute in these terms. The Judge's Order is signed separately.
