The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996.

There were disputes between the parties in regard to a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") and a Supplementary MOU. By an order dated 29th June 2018, an advocate of this court was appointed as the sole arbitrator. He entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter and the matter proceeded before him.

The arbitral proceedings have now reached the stage of cross examination of the claimant's witness. The extended arbitral mandate ended on 17th January 2020.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 31st January 2021 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
