The petitioner's nomination paper was rejected as some correction/erasure was noticed on the nomination paper. It is submitted by learned Counsel for the petitioner that petitioner filed a fresh nomination paper. Earlier nomination paper was filed on 30/01/2017. Learned Counsel appearing for the State Election Commission submitted that nomination paper with correction/erasure was not to be accepted. 1/2

We perused the record placed before us. The election process is set in motion. In the facts, we are not inclined to interfere in the matter. However, the petitioner is at liberty to resort to appropriate statutory remedy after the election results are declared.
