The petitioner is aggrieved because the certificate of birth issued in her favour by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Bombay does not contain correct particulars. If indeed that be so, it would be open to the petitioner to apply before the Corporation for rectification of the incorrect particulars. If an application is made by the petitioner for rectification, the Corporation shall proceed to decide such application in accordance with law within two weeks of receipt thereof, upon granting her an opportunity of hearing. Needless to observe, the petitioner shall be under an obligation to produce relevant evidence in support of her contentions for rectification. 2.

The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order for 1/2
