Through this Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India the Petitioner is seeking relief against the Respondent No.2 to forthwith provide necessary electricity connection to the premises of the Petitioner. The Respondent No.2 has filed reply. In reply reasons have been spelt out as to why the Petitioner has not been granted electricity connection. In paragraph 3 it has been stated that the Petitioner has an alternative and efficacious remedy available to her to approach Internal Grievance Redressal Cell established by 2nd Megha 1/2
501wp_592_2017.doc Respondent Undertaking to get her so called grievance redressed as provided under the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum & Electricity Ombudsman) Regulations 2006.

In view of the aforesaid, preliminary objections taken out by the Respondent No.2 we are of the view that the Petitioner has to avail alternative remedy by filing appropriate proceedings before the said Internal Grievance Redressal Cell. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner will avail the said remedy. He, however makes a prayer that said Grievance Redressal Cell be directed to consider and take appropriate decision in regard to the Petitioner's grievance as expeditiously as possible.

Keeping in view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the Petition by granting liberty to the Petitioner to approach Grievance Redressal Cell within a period of two weeks from today. In case the Petitioner submits her grievance before the said Cell, the Grievance Redressal Cell shall decide the Petitioner's grievance not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of such application of the Petitioner.
