The Petitioner seeks a Legal Heirship Certificate under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1827 in respect of one Shantabai Gangaram Gaikwad, who is said to have died intestate on 9th March 2006 in Mumbai, where she was ordinarily resident. A copy of her death certificate is annexed. The deceased was survived by the heirs whose names are mentioned in the tabulation below paragraph 2 of the petition.

This Petition is filed by granddaughter of the deceased. All the other heirs have consented. Hence, I dispensed with the proclamation by an order dated 7th October 2015.

The Legal Heirship Certificate is required for submission to the Slum Rehabilitation Authority.

No other Petition for a heirship certificate, succession certificate, probate or letters of administration with or without will annexed has been filed. There is no impediment to the grant of relief.

The petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a) in favour of the persons mentioned in the table below paragraph 2, viz., Luxmi Choitram Chaurasia; Manoj Mohan Gaikwad; and Lalita Mohan Gaikwad (Lalita P. Gautsurve) as all the other heirs have passed away.
