The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Disputes arose between the parties under Development Agreement dated 18th December 2007. By consent, the parties appointed a sole arbitrator to decide these disputes. He entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter, and the matter proceeded before him.

After the original arbitral mandate ended, it was extended for six months by mutual consent of the parties. The extended arbitral mandate ended on 6th January 2020.

The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of cross examination of the claimant's witness.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 31st December 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
