The Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Chetan/Kian, who is present in Chambers. The adoption proposed is under Section 58 of the Juvenile Justice Act. Chetan was born on 10th August 2014. He has been declared legally free for adoption. 2.

The adoptive father is an Indian national and the adoptive mother is a French. They have been married for eight years. They have been living in Mumbai. They have no children of their own. 21st March 2018

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record, and the other documents, including the financial documents, child care plan, home study reports and the health certificates.

Having regard to the fact that Chetan is today already four years, in my view, the matter of adoption should not be delayed any further.

The Petition is allowed. The Judge's order is separately signed.
