The Petition is in respect of a female minor, Aastha/Sohini Rakshit born on 9th April 2014 who has been declared legally free for adoption. The adoptive parents reside at Mohali, Punjab. They have been married for 11 years. They have a biological son who is five and a half years old.

I have seen the Petition and its annexures as also the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record. In my view, the documents are in order.
