Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records available on this writ petition.

In view of the order we propose to pass, issuance of notice to the respondents is hereby dispensed with. 3.

Though under challenge in this petition is the order dated 29th December, 2023 passed by the General Manager Projects (Pipelines), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai, whereby the petitioner has been banned and debarred from entering into contracts with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for three (3) years, however the petitioner has already taken recourse to the appellate remedy available to him by way of filing an appeal on 14th January, 2024.

Learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer for issuing of direction for expeditious disposal of the said appeal. 5.

Accordingly, having regard to the innocuous nature of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, we dispose of the petition with a direction to the Appellate Authority concerned to expedite the proceedings of the Appeal said to have been filed by the petitioner on 14th January, 2024 against the order dated 29th December, 2023 and conclude the same within a period of three weeks from the date the certified copy of this order is produced before it. The disposal of the appeal shall be made by the Appellate Authority in accordance with law.

We may observe that we have not adjudicated the issues raised in this petition on merits.
