The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Diya/Elavarasi, who was born on 23rd June 2017 and has been declared legally free for adoption. The proposed adoptive parents live in Bengaluru. They are 42 and 40 years old respectively. They have been married for six years, but have no children of their own. The adoptive father was married previously but has since divorced.

The documents annexed to the Petition are in order including the home study report, the child care arrangement plan, health reports, financial documents and the reports by the social workers. 21st March 2018
