DATE : 22 JANUARY 2020 P.C.:- By this Petition the Petitioner has prayed for following reliefs :- "a. That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to direct the respondents to intimate result of selection process conducted pursuant to advertisement dated 22nd January 2014 and be pleased to direct the Respondent No.2 to declare the Petitioner as successful candidate for the post of Assistant Manager (Civil).

b. That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to declare that entire appointment process conducted by the Respondent No.2 for the post of Assistant Manager (Civil) as per advertisement dated 14th February 2015 is illegal bad in law and against the provisions of law." 1/2

The sole basis for claiming such reliefs by the Petitioner in response to the Petitioner's query under the Right to Information Act wherein it is stated that only the Petitioner has passed the written examination. The same response also states that the Petitioner was not found suitable in the interview. Merely because the Petitioner was the only candidate who passed the written examination the Petitioner cannot insist that he should have been appointed.

The Petition is pending since the year 2015 with no ad-interim order. It is not possible to grant relief prayed for by the Petitioner. Writ Petition is accordingly rejected. (M.S.KARNIK, J.) (NITIN JAMDAR, J.) 2/2
