P.C. :- Learned Counsel for the Election Commission of India who appears on the advance copy of the Writ Petition being supplied, has produced an office order dated 16 March 2019 issued by the Election Commission of India.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has perused the same and states that adequate steps have been taken by the Election

903. PILL 38.19.doc Commission to ensure that if any medical emergency arises at a Polling Station, aid is available at spur of the moment. 3.

Counsel states that to this extent the relief sought in the Writ Petition has already been complied by the Election Commission. Counsel requests the Court that a direction be issued that if the situation warrants a voter or a personnel of the Election Commission at the Polling Station to be required to be shifted to a hospital, ambulance be provided.

Learned Counsel for the Election Commission states that as far as it is practicable, the Election Commission shall ensure that an ambulance or a vehicle is made available in case of such emergency to rush the patient to the nearest health centre. 5.
