Rule, by consent made returnable forthwith and, with the Respondents waiving service, taken up for hearing and final disposal forthwith.

The principal grievance of the petitioner is that Revision Application No. 2371 of 2017 is not being taken up in a timely manner. That revision application is pending before the Minister for Revenue & Forests. The Minister is requested to take up the revision application at his earliest convenience and to dispose it of, if possible, on or before 19th January 2018.

In the meantime, notice dated 9th March 2017, Exhibit "A" to the petition, and which threatens recovery of an amount of Rs. 4,04,05,098/- as arrears of land revenue is stayed. If the decision in the revision application is against the petitioner, this stay will continue for a period of four weeks thereafter. 4.
