Pursuant to the order dated 12th March 2018, the Respondent has been given notice. The arbitral Award in question is of 14th October 1987. It was passed by a learned sole Arbitrator Dr B.N. Mani and was directly filed by him in this Court. It is a nonspeaking Award in favour of the Union of India in the amount of Rs. 2,46,197/- and, after allowing for some adjustment, a net balance of Rs. 2,38,306.87. Under the Arbitration Act 1940 such Awards would require to be made an order or judgment of the Court. 2.

Having regard to these circumstances, the Award dated 14th October 1987 passed by the learned sole Arbitrator Dr B.N. Mani in Case No. 78-B/86 (Union of India v Sri Jayanthi Textiles) in the 26th June 2018

The application is disposed of in these terms. No costs. 4.
