Heard the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner. On instructions from the Petitioner, who is personally present in Court, he seeks permission to withdraw this Public Interest Litigation. 2.

We have perused the averments made in the Petition and the prayers therein. We find that apart from the fact that the grievances of those who are affected by the order passed in Public Interest Litigation No. 140 of 2006 have been taken care of, this Petition does not involve any public interest at all. All that the Authorities are doing is to ensure that the hutments erected on the water pipeline supplying water to the city of Mumbai and in the vicinity

48-OSPIL45-15.DOC thereof are demolished. Before doing so, the Authorities have granted suitable alternate accommodation to the eligible persons. 3.

Hence, we dispose of this Public Interest Litigation as not pressed.
