By this petition, which is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner is seeking the following reliefs: "(a) The Respondent No.3 be directed to hear the Appeal bearing No.209 of 2014 within the time frame. (b) That the order dt. 05/08/2014 be stayed pending the hearing of appeal no. 209 of 2014.

(c) Any other appropriate Writ direction may be given in the circumstances mentioned herein."

Since the Petitioner is only seeking a direction from this Court directing the HPC to decide his appeal expeditiously, the writ petition can be conveniently disposed of without issuing notices to the Respondents. We, therefore, direct the High Power Committee to 1/2

- 2 - (WPL 888 of 2015) decide the Petitioner's appeal as expeditiously as possible and, in any case, within a period of twelve weeks from today, on merits and in accordance with law.
