The grievance of the Petitioner is that though a Revision Application was filed by the Petitioner before the Hon'ble Minister of Revenue of the Government of Maharashtra on 27th August, 2015, even the prayer for interim relief made therein is not considered. Revision Application has been purportedly preferred under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. 1966. The AGP has no instructions about the status of the Revision Application.

wp-1472.16 The learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that in view of the long passage of time, instead of considering application for interim relief, a direction may be issued to decide the Revision Application as expeditiously as possible. He also states that in view of the order of this Court (Exhibit-D), it may not be necessary for the Petitioner to press the prayer for interim relief. Accordingly, we dispose of the Petition by passing the following order :-

ORDER

(i) We direct the Petitioner to appear before the Revisional Authority on 20th December, 2016 at 3.00 pm. The Petitioner shall produce an authenticated copy of this order before the Revisional Authority;

(ii) We direct the Revisional Authority to decide the pending Revision Application (a copy of which is annexed as Exhibit-A) as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from the date fixed for appearance;

(iii) All contentions on merits are kept open; (iv) The Petition is disposed of on above terms. (ANUJA PRABHUDESSAI, J) (A.S. OKA, J)
