Only substantive prayer in this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is prayer clause (a) which reads thus:

"(a) That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to pass an order to issue writ of Mandamus or any other order or direction in the nature of writ directing the Respondent to provide separate water connection to the Petitioner's house i.e 2, Parab House, 2nd Teri Galli Versova, Andheri (West), Mumbai 400 061 on payment of necessry charges from the Petitioner."

Apart from the fact that a copy of the

oswpl1153 application for grant of separate water connection has not been annexed to the petition, even details of said application such as date of filing the application and the name of the authority to whom the application is addressed are not mentioned. We therefore, decline to entertain this petition. Writ petition is rejected.

However, it will be open for the petitioner to make an application for grant of a separate water connection. If such application is made, the same shall be decided within a period of two months from the date of filing such application.
