This petition seeks orders in the matter of adoption of minor girl child aged about 1 year and 2 months. Mr. O. Harindran Nambiar, Scrutiny Officer, ICSW, has been given leave of absence due to covid protocol and his submissions are sent in by e-mail. 2.

The minor girl child was born on 24 th October 2019. She was surrendered by the biological mother before the Child Welfare Committee-II, Mumbai Suburban District (CWC) on 8 th November 2019 and was admitted 1/2 3A-IAP-31-2020(1).doc Dixit

to St. Catherine's Home. She has been declared free for adoption as of 21 st January 2020 by the CWC. The prospective adoptive parents have expressed their firm desire to adopt the child. The motivation letter is on the record. The minutes of the adoption committee records that the prospective adoptive parents were considered suitable to adopt the child. 3.

The prospective adoptive father is self-employed. The mother is a home-maker. Both have been married for 15 years. They have no biological or other adopted children. Medical reports and home study reports are found satisfactory. The prospective adoptive parents have their own house. They are said to be financially comfortable and are able to bring up the child with all due care and attention. The brother and sister-in-law of the prospective adoptive mother have also executed an undertaking to look after the child in the event that it becoming necessary. The prospective adoptive parents shall not offer the child in further adoption.

In my view, there is no reason to refuse this petition. Accordingly, I pass the following order :- (i) Adoption Petition is allowed in terms of prayer clauses [a] to [d].

(ii) Adoption Petition is disposed in the above terms. (iii) Judge's Order is signed separately.
