1. This is an adoption petition seeking adoption of a minor male child aged 9 years. The petitioners have presented this petition under Section 2(52) and under Section 57(5) of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015 [2 of 2016].

2. Mr. O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of ICSW, has been given leave of absence due to Covid-19 Protocol and submissions he has sent in by email. The petitioner no.1 is the uncle of the 1/3

minor being the elder brother of the minor's biological parents. The biological parents expired on 17th December, 2017 in a road accident. The minor has been in the custody of the petitioners since then he stated to be well integrated into the family. He is presently residing with the petitioners.

3. The petitioner no.1 is a Base Logistics Officer in the Indian Navy and the petitioner no.2 is a Doctor and employed with MGM School of Biomedical Sciences. The prospective adoptive parents have a biological child. The petitioners have been married since 2007 and well settled. The Home Study Report is positive. The medical reports are also found to be in order. The employment of the petitioner no.1 has been certified by the Indian Navy. The income documents are on record.

4. I have interacted with the minor today and found him well integrated with the prospective adoptive parents and their biological child. Master Amlan Mishra was happy and cheerful. The motivation letter of the petitioners is on record.

5. In view thereof, I see no difficulty in allowing this petition. Therefore I pass the following order;

(i) Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clauses (a) and (b) The minor shall not be offered for further adoption. 2/3

(ii) Judge's Order is signed separately.

(iii) Petition is disposed in the above terms. Assistant of this Court.
