The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Adit, who was born on 20th August 2017. His biological mother surrendered the child on 11th September 2017. The custody of the child was given to the Petitioner institution. The child has been declared legally free for adoption.

The proposed adoptive parents reside at Bhagya Nagar, Karnataka. They are 43 and 40 years old respectively. They have been married for eight years but have no biological children of their own.

The Petition and its accompanying documents including the home study report, the child care arrangement plan, health reports, financial documents and the reports by the social workers are in order. The adoptive father works as a pharmacist with a gross monthly salary over Rs.30,000/-. The adoptive mother works as an Assistant Teacher at a Government High School in Karnataka with a gross monthly salary of over Rs.37,000/-.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to the financial situation of the adoptive parents, the investment requirement is fixed at Rs.75,000/-. 6.

The Petition is allowed. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
