This petition is presented under Sections 56 and 58 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 in the matter of proposed adoption of minor girl child born on 16 th December 2019. Mr. O. Harindran Nambiar, Scrutiny Officer, ICSW, has been given leave of absence due to covid protocol and his submissions are sent in by e-mail. 2.

The biological mother has surrendered the child before the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City-II (CWC) on 20 th December 2019 and she was entrusted to safe custody of Shree Manav Seva Sangh, which is the petitioner before me today.

Prospective adoptive parents are residents of Pune. They are both gainfully employed and have their own residence. They have been married of 8 years but have no children and both have been motivated to adopt the minor. Minutes of the adoption committee are found to be affirmative. The child has been legally free for adoption vide order of the CWC dated 24 th February 2020. Safe custody order is in place. The home study report and medical reports of theprospective adoptive parents and the medical report of the child are found to be in order. The prospective adoptive father is an engineer and mother is a home-maker. The younger brother and sister-inlaw of the prospective adoptive mother have undertaken to look after the minor in the event of any untoward incident involving the prospective adoptive parents. Medical examination records that the child is of able body and mind. Pre-adoption foster care undertaking is on record. The child shall not be offered for further adoption.

In that view of the matter, I see no reason to decline this petition. Accordingly, I pass the following order :- (i) Adoption Petition is allowed in terms of prayer clauses [a] to [d].

(ii) Adoption Petition is disposed in the above terms. (iii) Judge's Order is signed separately.
