The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Kiaan, who was born on 17th August 2017 to the Respondent Renuka. She relinquished the child with the consent of his father to the Petitioners at birth; Kiaan was born out of wedlock and his biological parents did not have means to support him. The necessary Consent Affidavits of the Respondent and the biological father are on record.

The Petitioners live in Mumbai and have been married for 11 years. They have a biological daughter, Devshree, who is today two years old but has certain physical impediments and development issues.

The Petitioners' health reports and financial documents are in order. The 1st Petitioner is an Income Tax Officer in Mumbai. The home study report is in order and recommends the adoption. 4.
Mr Kapoor tenders a compilation that contains HIV report of the minor. It is non-reactive. The compilation is taken on record and marked "X" for identification with today's date.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to these circumstances and since I am satisfied that the adoption is manifestly in the interest of minor, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed. (G. S. PATEL, J) 11th April 2018
