The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Amit, who was born on 26th October 2017. His biological mother relinquished him to the Child Welfare Committee on 3rd November 2017. Safe custody was given to the Petitioner institution under Section 33(i) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000 and 36 (1) of J.J. Act 2015. The child has been declared legally free for adoption. 18th April 2018

The adoptive parents are Indian nationals. They live in Ahmednagar. They are 39 and 34 years old respectively and have been married for the last 16 years but have no children of their own. 3.

The Petition and its accompaniments shows a satisfactory picture. The adoptive father is self-employed and has a transport business. The adoptive mother works as a sales woman. 4.

The home study report, the child care arrangement plan, are on record and are satisfactory. The medical reports of the minor and the HIV report do not disclose any negative condition. 5.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to the financial situation of the adoptive parents, the investment requirement is fixed at Rs.50,000/-. 7.

The Petition is allowed. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
