The Foreign Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Shivanya, who was born on 23rd April 2017. She has been declared legally free for adoption. The adoptive parents are of Indian origin but Canadian citizens living there. 2.

I have seen the Petition with its annexures. All the documents annexed to the Petition are in order, including the home study report, the child care arrangement plan, health reports, financial documents and the reports by the social workers. The physical /medical examination of the minor notes a special need in regard to 18th April 2018

901-FAP19-18.DOC her heart and lung condition. This report has been countersigned by the adoptive parents. The HIV report of the minor is non-reactive. There is an updated medical report dated 13th March 2018 of the Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai which notes a congenital heart disease birth history. It does not appear that there is any deterioration in the child's condition. The medical report is taken on file and marked "X" for identification with today's date. 3.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to the circumstances, I am inclined to allow Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed. (G. S. PATEL, J) 18th April 2018
