Hemant G. Rawool v. State Of Maharashtra
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
ORDINARY ORIGINAL CIVIL JURISDICTION WRIT PETITION NO.1742 OF 2004 Hemant Gajanan Rawool .. Petitioner Vs.
The State of Maharashtra and Ors.
.. Respondents None for the Petitioner.
Mr. Mohit Jadhav, Addl. G.P., for the Respondent-State. CORAM : A.S. CHANDURKAR & JITENDRA JAIN, JJ DATE : 12TH JANUARY, 2024.
P.C. :
1.
There was no appearance on behalf of the petitioner on 9th January 2024; hence, the matter was kept today. Today also, there is no appearance on behalf of the petitioner.
2.
It is seen from the record that the petitioner has sought to challenge the order passed by the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra State, dated 15th September 2023, by which the name of the petitioner as well as the name of his wife came to be deleted from the Electoral Roll. The appeal preferred by the petitioner against the decision of the Electoral Registration Officer came to be dismissed. No interim relief was granted in the writ petition.
3.
It appears that the petitioner is not desirous of prosecuting the writ petition. It is, therefore, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. Rule is discharged with no order as to costs. [ JITENDRA JAIN, J. ] [ A.S. CHANDURKAR, J. ] 1/1 905-WP-1742-2004.doc Dixit
