The Petitioners see a decree in damages for defamation in regard to material published online and in communications to various authorities. The Respondent himself lives in Badlapur but the posts were online and sent to authorities in Mumbai. 2.

A material part of the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court. I am satisfied that with leave granted under Clause XII of the Letters Patent, this Court will have the jurisdiction to entertain and try the suit.
