The case of the petitioners is that their applications for renewal of the passport is pending before respondent No.2. According to the petitioners, applications which they have filed are required to be considered and decided as expeditiously as 1/2

Having regard to the aforesaid, we dispose of this Writ Petition by directing respondent No.2 to consider and decide the said applications for renewal of passport as expeditiously as possible but not later than one month from the date of the receipt of copy of this order. Needless to mention that we have not commented upon the merits of the matter. However, respondent No.2 is required to pass a reasoned order on the said applications within the aforesaid time. 4.

With the aforesaid directions, Writ Petition is disposed of.
