The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Aarti Tyagi, who was born on 18th November 2017. The police of RA Kidwai Police Station, Sewri, Mumbai took charge of her on 7th May 2017. She was produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai and then admitted on 8th May 2017 to the Petitioner institution. She has since been declared legally free for adoption.

The adoptive parents are from Sangmeshwar. They are 46 and 44 respectively. They have been married for the past 19 years but have no children of their own.

I have seen the Petition with its annexures. The adoptive father works as a Postal Assistant at Sangmeshwar Post Office, Department of Post, Government of India and has a gross monthly salary of Rs.65,782/-. The adoptive mother is a housewife. 4.

Their health reports, the home study report and the child care report as also the assessment by the social workers are satisfactory and in order. There is a child security undertaking given by the brother and sister-in-law of the adoptive minor. The medical report of the minor is also clear. She is reported to be normal on all counts.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to the parties' financial status, I have fixed the investment required at Rs.75,000/-.

Having regard to these circumstances and since I am satisfied that the adoption is manifestly in the interest of minor, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed. (G. S. PATEL, J) 2nd May 2018
