On 21st November 2016 this Court extended time to complete the arbitration pending before Hon'ble Dr Justice S Radhakrishnan, former Judge of this Court by a period of six months. The parties were then in negotiations for some time and the arbitration did not proceed. Then one of the parties requested the Arbitral Tribunal for accommodation citing some difculty on the part of the witness. Evidence is yet to begin. 2.

Having regard to these circumstances, it would not be appropriate to deny relief. In any case, both sides consent to the extension sought in this Petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996.

Hence, by consent, time to complete the arbitration is extended until 4th September 2020.

The Petition is disposed of in these terms. There will be no order as to costs.
