By this Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners are seeking a writ of mandamus directing the Respondent - Corporation to pay compensation to the petitioner on account of death of the husband of the first petitioner. Before approaching the Writ Court for seeking a writ of mandamus, the petitioners have not even made a representation to the Respondent - Corporation calling upon the Respondent - Corporation to pay compensation. We, therefore, dispose of the petition by permitting the petitioners to make appropriate representation to the
wp-2000.13 Respondent - Corporation. If such representation is made, the Respondent - Corporation shall decide the same within a period of three months from the date of filing of the representation. Order passed on the representation be communicated to the petitioners. In the event, the order be adverse, it will be open for the petitioners to challenge the same by filing appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
