Smt Lalita Jaya , for the Petitioner.

Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer, ICSW, is present. CORAM: G.S. PATEL, J DATED:

6th June 2018 PC:- 1.

The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Omkar, who was born on 24th August 2017. The Dindoshi Police Station, Mumbai took charge of him on 28th August 2017. He was then produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District on 1st September 2017. His custody was then granted to the Petitioner.

2.

Omkar has since been declared legally free for adoption by a certificate dated 20th February 2018 following the necessary enquiries and procedures.

901-IAP48-18.DOC 3.

The proposed adoptive parents, Kamlesh Chandran Nair and Smitha Kamlesh Nair, are Indians who reside in Pune. They are 38 and 30 years old respectively. They have been married for the past eight years but have no children of their own. 4.

I have considered the Petition with its annexures. The health reports of the parents and the child, the home study report and the child care report as also the assessment by the social workers are satisfactory and in order. Necessary Affidavits and declarations are on file.

5.

The father works as an Associate with DBOI Global Services Private Limited, Pune and has a gross monthly salary of Rs.1,57,726/-. The adoptive mother is a home maker. 6.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

7.

Having regard to these circumstances and since I am satisfied that the adoption is manifestly in the interest of minor, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed. (G. S. PATEL, J) 6th June 2018
