Through this Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner has challenged the appointment of Respondent No. 3 on the post of "Professor" in Marathi subject by the first Respondent-University of Mumbai. The Petitioner has made a specific averment that against the impugned decision the Petitioner has filed Appeal on 3rd January, 2014 before Respondent No. 5. The prayer has been made in the Petition to direct the Respondent No. 5 to expedite the hearing and disposal of the Appeal pending before him in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that this Petition may be disposed of by directing Respondent No. 5 to decide the said Appeal as expeditiously as possible. 4.

Keeping in view the aforesaid limited prayer, we dispose of this Petition by requesting Respondent No. 5 to decide the Petitioner's Appeal as expeditiously as possible preferably within three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order after giving due opportunity to the Petitioner as also to Respondent-University and Respondent No. 3.

We expect the Petitioner, the University as also the private Respondent to cooperate the Respondent No. 5 for deciding the Appeal within aforesaid time.
