The petitioner's advocate has been handed over a cheque in the sum of Rs.1,99,356/-, which is the interest on the Provident Fund amount of Rs.4 lacs from the date of the petitioner's retirement, namely 1st September, 2005 to 30th August, 2010. 2.

Let the petitioner accept this amount (cheque) under protest without prejudice to the rights and contentions, particularly that this sum or amount should have been paid to the petitioner as per his entitlement in the year 2010. Therefore, the amount being withhold unlawfully, the petitioner should be compensated. That claim towards interest/damages/compensation will not be affected and can be raised J.V.Salunke,PA
