The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Mishka, born on 21st December 2017. Her biological mother relinquished her to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City I on 12th January 2018. She was given in custody to the Petitioner-Applicant institution that very day. 2.

The Child Welfare Committee has declared Mishka legally free for adoption after following necessary procedure.

The adoptive parents reside in Nigdi, Pune. They are 41 and 39 years old respectively. They have been married for the last 10 years but have no biological children of their own. 4.

The adoptive father works with a private company since June 2011. He has a monthly net salary of over Rs. 88,000/-. The adoptive mother is a teacher with a monthly net salary of over Rs. 37,000/-. The health reports of the parents and the minor are both positive and the HIV reports are negative.

The other documents including the motivation letter, the Adoption Committee decision and the Affidavit of the Chief Functionary of the Adoption Agency are on record. The financial documents are in order as is the child care plan declaration. The assessment report of the Social Worker is positive and recommends the adoption. The self assessment is also on record. 6.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to these circumstances, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed. 8.

The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the

Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
