The Applicant, Manisha S. Ravandkar, is one of the two wives of the deceased. The other is Rajani. They both claim to be entitled to 50% each of the pension of Sitaram Revandkar, to whom both of them claim to have been married.

The prayer is for a modification of a previous order dated 23rd January 2014 (Coram: R. D. Dhanuka, J.) for the limited purpose of pay out of this pension. Mr. Saraf has no objection to the Application made by Mrs. Koparkar.

Accordingly, the Notice of Motion is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a), which reads as follows: "(a) That the Hon'ble Court be pleased to modify the order dated 23/01/2014 passed by this Hon'ble Court and direct all the concerned offices including Bank to give/deposit Family Pension amount 1⁄2 each in personal account of Smt. Manisha Sitaram Revandkar and Ms. Rajani Sitaram Revandkar from the date of the death of the deceased."

It is clarified that the pension payable in respect of the services of Sitaram Revandkar is to be paid equally to Manisha and Rajani. It is also clarified that the amount to be paid equally to Manisha and Rajani includes all pending arrears. The amount to be paid out to each of them will be directly credited to their respective bank accounts.
