The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Pranit, born on 29th November 2017. His biological mother surrendered him to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District on 8th December 2017. Custody was given to the Applicant institution by the Child Welfare Committee on 8th December 2017.

Since then the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban has, after following the necessary procedures, declared the minor free for adoption.

The adoptive parents live in Nashik. They are aged 38 and 45 years old respectively. They have been married for 15 years. They have no biological children of their own.

The health reports of the minor and the adoptive parents are positive.

The adoptive father works as a driver with an annual income of Rs.3,00,000/-. The adoptive mother is a home maker. The assessment report is positive and recommends the adoption. 6.

There is a guardianship letter from the adoptive father's brother and sister-in-law who also live in Nashik. 7.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to these circumstances, I will allow the Petition, but I will require the investment to made in the sum of Rs.50,000/-. The Judge's Order is separately signed. 9.

The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure

that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
