Heard learned Counsel for the parties. It is agreed between Counsel for both sides that the petition may be disposed of, but no reasons may be given for the order.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of in terms of the following order :

The First Respondent company shall pay an ad-hoc compensation of Rs.5 lakhs, which will be treated as a compensation payable for a period of ten years between 16 October 1999 and 1 April 2010. This amount shall include the differential gratuity payable to the Petitioner. No order as to costs.
