The only prayer as made in this Petition reads thus:- "(a) that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the Respondents to decide and adjudicate the refund application of the Petitioner."

Mr. Sridharan, learned Counsel for the Petitioner drew our attention to several refund applications made prior to the application dated 3rd February, 2023 to Respondent No.2, contending that such refund applications have not been decided. We are of the opinion that Respondent 1 February, 2024

502-WP-3124-2023.DOC No.2 shall decide the Petitioner's application dated 3rd February, 2023 (Ex. AB page 165) in accordance with law, and after granting an opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, and, in any event, within a period of six weeks from the date a copy of this order is presented by the Petitioner before the appropriate authority. Keeping all contentions of the parties open, Petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
