This is a Petition for the adoption of a male minor, Mansur Rashid Naik, born on 4th June 1995. He was an inmate of Asha Sadan at Umerkhadi. He was at that institution from 24th May 1997 to 28th December 1998. He was taken in to guardianship by the Petitioner Abdul Rashid E. Naik and his wife Mrs. Akhtari B. Naik. They live at Ramamatawadi, Room No. 186, Koraba Mithanagar, near Ramesh Bidi Shop and Wadala Police Station, Wadala, Mumbai 400 037. The Petitioner is 67 years old and his wife is 60 years old. They are married for the last 40 years. They have no biological children of their own. They are in good health. The Petitioner works 14th December 2016

901-IAP-6-2016.DOC at a lemon juice centre and has an income of approximately of Rs.6,000/- to Rs.7,000/-.

The Petitioners filed Guardianship Petition No. 11 of 1999 in this Court. This was allowed by an order dated 3rd February 1999. The Petitioners now require an adoption order for Municipal Corporation records. Hence this Petition.

The Petition sets out that the Petitioner and his wife have land at Sindhudurg and a room or hutment at Ramamatawadi Korba, Mithanagar, Wadala. The Petitioner and his wife also state that they have been looking after the minor who has stayed with them since 3rd February 1999.

Having considered the Petition and seen the annexures thereto, I am satisfied that the Petition should be granted. 5.

The Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clauses (a), (b), (c) and (d).
