The Petitioner seeks a Legal Heirship Certificate under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1827 in respect of one Sohanlal Radharam Mathreja, who is said to have died intestate in Mumbai, where he was ordinarily resident, on 21st December 1999. A copy of his death certificate is annexed. The deceased was survived by his son and a married daughter. Their names are set out at Serial Nos. 2 and 3 in the tabulation below paragraph 4 of the petition.

The Legal Heirship Certificate is required for the purposes of submission to CIDCO in respect of a plot of land in Village Kalamboli, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad.

All the heirs have consented. No other Petition for an heirship certificate, succession certificate, probate or letters of administration with or without a will annexed has been filed. There is no impediment to the grant of relief.

The petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a) in favour of the persons mentioned in the table below paragraph 4, namely, Kavish Sohanlal Mathreja and Smt. Sushma Manoj Gulati. 5.
