The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Sakhi, born on 3rd January 2018. Her biological mother surrendered her to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District on 8th January 2018. Custody was then given to the Applicant institution by the Child Welfare Committee on that very day.

The Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban has, since then, and after following the necessary procedures, declared the minor free for adoption.

The adoptive parents reside at Andheri, Mumbai. They are 42 and 39 years old respectively. They have been married for 10 years. They have no biological children of their own. 4.

A motivation letter of the adoptive parents, the decision of the Adoption Committee, and the Affidavit of the Applicant's Chief Functionary are all on record.

The health reports of the parents and the minor are normal. 6.

The adoptive father works as a Vice President with a foreign bank in Mumbai with a monthly net salary of Rs.2,16,651/-. The mother works as a marketing manager with another private limited company with a monthly net salary of Rs.2,13,632/-. The financial documents are in order.

The home site visit is positive and recommends the adoption. 8.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare which is on record.

Having regard to these circumstances, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.

10. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate

for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
