This is a petition fled under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 whereby the petitioner has prayed for extension of time by six months to enable the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the arbitral proceedings and publish an award. It is submitted that, petitioner's evidence is over and last witness of the respondents would be examined.

Having perused the averments in the petition, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish an award is required to be extended. Accordingly, the petition is granted in terms of prayer clause (a) which reads thus. "That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to extend the mandate of the Learned Arbitrator for a period of nine months with efect from 18.03.2019."

Ordered accordingly.
