Bal Asha Trust, a social welfare organization and specialized adoption agency, has filed the present petition seeking to offer minor girl-child born on th March 2017 in adoption to the prospective adoptive parents, who are both Indian citizens, residing at Bangalore. The child adoption is duly registered with the Child Resource Information Guidance System. The prospective adoptive parents have been found suitable for adoption of the minor. The Child Welfare Committee has since declared the minor legally free for adoption as on 15 th February 2021 and has sought to promote her 1/3

permanent rehabilitation. The prospective adoptive parents have been married since 2006, but have no biological children. They have therefore decided to adopt the child. Prospective Adoptive parents have filed a selfassessment report. The Social Worker has filed a Home Visit Report. These reports appear satisfactory. The Child Study Report and the Medical Reports are in place and the prospective adoptive parents are desirous of changing the name of the child from Gudiya to Gayatri Pai. 2.

I have perused the undertaking, which has been executed by both the prospective adoptive parents. The prospective adoptive father also provided particulars of his income and other documents, all of which indicate that they are in a position to look after the welfare and interest of the child. 3.

Accordingly, having considered the Child Study Report, Home Study Report and the Medical Reports, I have no hesitation in allowing this petition. Accordingly, I pass the following order :- (i) Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clauses (a) to (d).

(ii) Prospective adoptive parents shall invest a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- in the name of the child in LIC's Single Endowment Plan No.917 for 18 years. No loan shall be taken on the policy. The petitioner shall file evidence of this fact having been communicated to the LIC in the registry.

(iii) Undertakings are accepted (iv) Judge's Order is signed separately.

(v) Petition is disposed in the above terms.
