The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Aushi. She was born on 22nd December 2017 and was admitted to the Petitioner institution Asha Sadan on 27th December 2017. She was then given in custody to that institution. On 3rd January 2018 her biological mother executed a Deed of Surrender before the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai.

Following the necessary procedure, the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City declared the minor legally free for adoption.

The proposed adoptive parents are from Goa. They live in Patto, Ribandar in Goa. They are 45 and 43 years old respectively. They have been married for 16 years and have one biological son Endric who is today 12 years old. His birth certificate and consent are on record.

The Motivation letter from the proposed parents, the decision of the Adoption Committee and the Affidavit of the Chief Functionary of the Petitioner are all on record. 5.
The medical examination of the minor shows some hearing loss. The adoptive parents have signed this report. The health reports of the parents show no abnormalities. 6.
The adoptive father is self-employed in the real estate business and his income for the Assessment Year 2018-2019 is Rs.2,84,106/-. The adoptive mother is a home maker with a gross total income of Rs.2,84,106/-.

The home study report is on record.

The assessment report with the social worker is positive and recommends the adoption. There is a child security undertaking from the sister and brother-in-law of the adoptive father undertaking to look after the minor should the need arise. 9.
The other documents are in order. I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
10. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare who is unable to attend today, which is on record.
11. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
