Mr. Mishra, learned advocate for the respondents submits that since the impugned show-cause notice has been withdrawn, nothing survives for decision in this writ petition.

Mr. Anay Banhatti, learned advocate for the petitioner has placed before us a communication received from the Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade dated September 20, 2021. We find from such communication that the showcause notice dated October 21, 2020 and the order dated October 23, 2020 passed in the proceedings stand withdrawn and a detailed show cause notice would be issued, if required, after thorough examination of the material available on record.

In view of the subsequent developments, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous and it stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
